At 1,960 square feet this is one of the largest homes in the area and with 180 degree ocean, coastline, and sunset views this has been a real gem for us. But, we will be moving soon so now it can be a gem for you!
Located on a quiet corner lot at the intersection of Mahilani Drive and Kilapa Street you will have easy access to the upper highway into Kailua-Kona which is only 15 minutes away. The airport is only 10 minutes down the hill but far enough away so that you will never hear a thing. If you turn North on the upper highway you will be in Waimea in 30-40 minutes depending on the time of day.
At just about 1500 feet elevation the temperature is normally 10-15 degrees cooler than down at the coast and the cool mountain breezes at night make for comfortable sleeping. No air conditioning or heating required! Solar water heating on the south roof face and water heater timers keep the higher Hawaiian electricity rates to a minimum :)
